Ventsim Visual 1.1 is released.

After extensive field test work and peer review by users, Ventsim Visual Version 1.1 has been released with a host of improvements and new features. Most of the new features and improvements have been driven by constructive comments from existing users.

The improvements are designed to make constructing and simulating a ventilation modeling much easier and more enjoyable, and provide the user with a number of new functions to make their job easier. Registered users of Ventsim Visual can download this update free of charge through the HELP > Check for Updates menu, or directly from the web site.

Some changes include :

Added support to fix airway temperature and report heating or cooling required.
Rendering support for non-English characters
Added option to fix rock temp (backfill, local geothermal conditions, oxidised hot rock, blasted broken rock etc)
Water suspension velocity checking option
Quick views, save temporary views and move quickly between them with left and right arrows
Static views, create new form with static view picture of current view.
Fast update option available in HELP > 'check for updates'
Fixed occasional bug opening form when form already open
Customisable control on transparency
Added coordinates to grid when in plan view
Incorporate Jet Fans as new fan option
Added shortcut keys (F2) for plan / 3D view
Added shortcut keys (Pg Up / Dwn / End) for moving through levels.
Preset items are now fully sortable.
Option in Settings to run simulation when file loaded (under Ventsim Main)
Node bind and intercept for DXF import assistance under tools
Reversal resistances can be individually set on each resistance in the presets
One way airflow resistance feature added - for self closing resistance types
Added flow limit for zero flow display hiding
Added detailed update log information to HELP menu
Additional tools to assist with creating networks from DXF
Automated density / diffusivty conversion
Added update function to HELP menu
